critters.

Saw a quail in the front yard yesterday evening.
A little later, I sat on a bench on the back patio. It was windy. Brisk.
Heard a quail call. Heard another quail some distance away answer.
Watched a robin as it hopped up to a fence nearby.
A mallard duck flew over.. quack quack.
Funny birds – they quack as they fly.
Earlier in the evening, the mallard was perched on a nearby house.
They do that out here.
After the mallard flew past,
A squirrel came romping along the fence.
Don’t usually see squirrels in the evening.
This is Idaho.
