from the archives: duckies!
February 6, 2014
The vast majority of the animals brought into the wildlife rehabilitation center where I worked in California were wild and native species. However, occasionally we would be brought domestic animals (non-native animals), which were legal to own. Back in ’07, I adopted two domestic ducklings, which I raised at home until they became full-grown. Once they got big, I decided I didn’t have enough room at my house to give them happy lives. My mom knew some people who lived on a large property in the country, and who already had some ducks and other animals. These kind people adopted my ducks.
Here are some pictures of the duckies. I still remember them fondly.
