Avishai Cohen: Jazz Genius.

Firstly.. even if you are not into jazz, give this video a try. There’s lots of jazz I really like, and even more than I hate, so for those of you who don’t normally care for the genre, I understand.

The piece is called “Handsonit.”

Avishai Cohen is different from anyone I’ve ever seen or heard. Before watching this video, I’d never witnessed a big band jazz ensemble being led by a bass guitarist.

The only flaw in this video is the trumpet solo. The solo on the album version is outstanding, and fits perfectly with the rest of the music. However, the trumpet player in the video must have been on some rather strong sedatives to play so badly.

Apart from that.. awesome performance!
