New Mormon Temple, Meridian, Idaho.

Shortly after construction of a Mormon temple is finished, there is an open house. Apart from this brief time – two weeks or so, no non-Mormons are allowed to enter. Even some Mormons are not allowed to enter. I don’t know why.

No one on the tour was permitted to take any pictures inside the temple.

The white canopy is not usually there. It was put up for visitors in case there was inclement weather.

The tour was, for me, a non-Mormon, a rather unusual experience. Too bad I was not allowed to take pictures inside.
